Art Clay Silver I – $122.00

Silver Art clay is ground silver mixed with an organic binder. The finished product is fine silver (.999 pure). AND it’s as easy as rolling out clay and firing your piece! In the class you will learn about silver art clay by shaping, stamping, texturing, painting and polishing the silver clay. You will work with all three forms of Art Clay Silver— Clay, Paste and Syringe and will make three projects—a pendant, a leaf charm and a filigree bead. Your creations will be kiln fired or torch fired. Additional Silver Art Clay materials will be available.

(Half hour for lunch, please bring your lunch)

In this class you will learn the basics of fusing with a focus on Jewelry. You will learn about all the tools and their uses, glass, and how to use a kiln. You will come out of the class with 5-10 completed pendants and the desire to create more. This class is for beginners who have no fusing experience.
Projects include:

- Mica Powders
- Etching Glass
- Including Metals in your Glass Pendant
- Frit and Stringers
- Shaping & Finishing Techniques
