Beaded Jewelry with Found Objects
by Carole Rodgers

Beaded Jewelry with Found Objects

...this introductory booklet explains the main techniques of bead stringing and seed bead weaving.

This clever book avoids the usual pitfall of found-object jewelry in that Carole’s designs are attractive and eminently wearable, not in the least odd and kitschy. She begins with a short introduction of tools, materials, and stringing techniques. Chapters 2 and 3, “The Weaving Stitches” and “Straps, Necklaces, and Fringe,” provide clear schematic instruction on all the beading techniques Carole uses for the projects. You’ll also find these pages useful as a refresher or a source of new techniques and variations.
