“The charms tinkle against the bracelet and beads

Charmed575

Intermediate LevelI just love charm bracelets. The way the charms tinkle against the bracelet and beads, and the movement of the bracelet. I also like that the bracelet has special meaning to me. This project focuses on applying patinas to PMC (Precious Metal Clay). We’ll stamp on clay and make a charm bracelet with btn_downloadebookyour own custom charms. Think of your favorite vacation spots, family, etc when deciding which stamps to use.

About the Artist

cynthia3Art has been my passion throughout life. I was classically trained in oils, creating figures and landscapes on canvas. That exploration led to searching for more ways to diversify my creative expression. This journey first evolved into collage and mixed media, then to abstracts, and finally jewelry! I loved people hanging my art in their homes but missed being able to see the work on an ongoing basis. Creating jewelry allowed me to nurture my artistic muse and still be able to see the wearable art walking around! Much of my art crosses over into mixed media jewelry. The adventure of discovering unique pieces to use in my art is as exciting as the creation process itself. I enjoy using vintage maps, old postcards and other antique pictures for my polymer clay image pieces. My abstract pieces use acrylics and mica powders on polymer clay with a clear coating. Each original is a miniature work-of-art, and are truly one of a kind.

PMC and Polymer Clay are my current favorite mediums. PMC has opened up many possibilities for me. I enjoy creating Graffiti pendants, initial pendants and other pieces. I’ve also started creating PMC pieces with colored resin inlays.

Inspired by my abstract and mixed media pieces, this abstract jewelry collection was created to adorn the figure with miniature pieces of art. Pieces may be commissioned with custom colors.o contact Cynthia: www.cynthialuhrs.com
