Squares Necklace and Earrings Designer: Gloria Harris
Use square frames to highlight sparkling faceted beads
This necklace is a great way to use leftover beads. To make the most of the five sizes and shapes of square frames, you’ll need a variety of beads in sizes ranging from 10 to 4 mm. The large frames will hold 8mm beads, while the medium frames hold 6mm beads, and the small ones hold 4mm beads.
I combined beads in three of my favorite colors – green and gold (to go with the frames) and a touch of purple for accent – and used a variety of shapes and finishes, ranging from four rhinestone-studded cat’s eye beads to small glass disk spacers and seed beads. Go through your bags and boxes of leftovers to see what looks good together.
