Star Mandala Ornament By Robin Wakeman
Wrap a ring with beads then add decorative spokes and bands
Having just reread all the Harry Potter books, scarlet and gold seemed the only reasonable choice for the colors of this mandala ornament and a strand of small shell stars also seemed appropriate. In many cultures, mandalas or circular designs are used as protective or lucky symbols. And as I prepared to read the final volume of the Harry Potter series, protection and luck were very much on my mind.
The directions that follow explain how to recreate the design shown here, but feel free to fill your mandala with any design that appeals to you.
